Highlights of Marrakech

This four-day itinerary focuses on exploring Marrakech and its surroundings. Upon arrival in Marrakech, travelers check into their hotel and have the evening to potentially experience the vibrant Djemaa el Fna Square. The following morning involves a guided tour of Marrakech, including its bustling souks and historical sites, with the afternoon left for independent exploration, such as visiting palaces or the Majorelle Garden. Day three features a trip to the High Atlas Mountains and the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait benhaddou, a significant historical trading post and film location, followed by a return to Marrakech. The final day consists of breakfast and a transfer to the airport for departure.

Itinerary

Day 01 - Arrival

Marrakech

Upon arrival in Marrakech on @  , meet and assist then transfer to your hotel  close to the medina for check in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Evening a possibility to go out and see the famous Djemaa el Fna Square. Snake charmers’ orange juice sellers, food stalls, and story tellers all inhabit the square, and provide entertainment for the whole evening.

Day 02

Marrakech

Spend the morning with the Marrakech town guide to get an overview of this wonderful city and its bustling souks. Stretching over the medieval part of Marrakech, the souks are winding streets of stalls and small businesses. Interspersed are palaces, madrassa (Qur’anic schools) and many cafes and restaurants. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the Marrakech at your own speed. Perhaps visit Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs or take a Caleche (horse drawn carriage) ride to the Jardins de Majorelle. This evening considers visiting the Hivernage with its up-market cafes.

Day 03

Marrakech

This morning departs across the plain of houses and into the rugged High Atlas Mountains where you can admire the views in route to the famous UNESCO Listed Kasbah of Ait benhaddou, which is situated in Souss-Massa-Draa on a hill along the Ouarzazate River. Films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth and more recently, Gladiator were all filmed at Ait Benhaddou, which was once a significant stop for traders carrying gold, salt and slaves along the famous Southern Caravan route moving through the Sahara. After exploring this wonderful site, journey back to Marrakech.

Day 04

Departure

After Breakfast, transfer to the Airport to fly back home with everlasting memories of Land of Morocco departure on…. @….. – (B)
