The Magic of Morocco

This ten-day tour of Morocco begins and ends in Casablanca. Upon arrival, the group visits the Hassan II Mosque before traveling to Fes, the spiritual capital, for a guided tour of its ancient medina, including the King’s Palace and tanneries. The journey continues across the Middle Atlas Mountains, through Berber villages, to Erfoud, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. An optional overnight experience in Berber tents after a camel trek into the Sahara dunes is offered. The tour then proceeds through the Todra Gorges and the picturesque river valleys to the Dades Gorges. The group then travels to Marrakech, visiting the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou and exploring the city’s highlights like the Bahia Palace and Saadian Tombs. Finally, the tour returns to Casablanca for the final night before departure.

Itinerary

Day 01 - Arrival

Casablanca

Upon arrival in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, you will be met and transferred by shuttle bus to your Casablanca hotel. Depending on arrival time, the group will visit the city, including a guided tour to the Hassan II, one of the world’s biggest mosques.

Day 02

Fes

After breakfast, the group will leave by van towards Fes. On route, you will stop at Rabat, the capital city and residence of the King, for a time to enjoy the beautiful coastal city. continue on to Fes, the spiritual capital of Morocco

Day 03

Fes

After breakfast you will begin our guided tour of the Fes medina, one of the world’s largest walled in cities. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. A visit to the King’s Palace, the tanneries, and potters are just a few places we will experience. Afterwards return to your hotel for the evening

Day 04

Erfoud

After an early breakfast you will begin your ascent across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend into the Sahara Desert.

Day 05

Sahara Desert

In the afternoon, you will head off in some 4-wheel drive vehicles across the barren land to the majestic Sahara sand dunes. You will set off by camel for a 2-hour trek out to the oasis where you will spend the night in Berber tents ***this could be optional if you would prefer to return to the hotel to sleep.

Day 06

Dades gorges

After breakfast, you will return by camel to the 4x4s and head back to Erfoud. From Erfoud you set out behind the High Atlas Mountains on route to the Todra Gorges. In the afternoon, you will take a walk up in the towering Todra Gorges (600 feet high). The picturesque river valleys make for a beautiful journey towards the southeast of Morocco. You will spend the night in the Dades gorges.

Day 07

Marrakech

After an early breakfast you set off to Marrakech via Ouarzazate. You will visit one of the jewels of Morocco – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. In typical Moroccan fashion, the true treasures must be searched out and discovered… usually off the beaten path. Afterwards, you will head over the mountains to Marrakech.

Day 08

Marrakech

After breakfast, the group will have a guided tour of Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco. You will discover the Palace of the Bahia, the Saadian Tombs, and many other hidden treasures.

Day 09

Casablanca

Your last day of travel will take you back to Casablanca where you began your voyage 10 days before.

Day 10

Departure

After Breakfast, transfer to the Airport to fly back home with everlasting memories of Land of Morocco departure on…. @….. – (B)
