Jeddah Stopover

This six-day tour of Saudi Arabia begins with arrival in Jeddah, followed by a day exploring the city’s highlights including the Tayebat Museum, Jeddah Open Museum, Floating Mosque, King Fahd’s Fountain, and the traditional architecture of Al-Balad. The journey continues with a high-speed train to Madinah for a day tour (non-Muslims view mosques from outside) encompassing the International Fair and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization, Qiba Street, and Souq Taiba, before transferring to Al Ula. In Al Ula, the itinerary features explorations of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Madain Saleh, the panoramic views from Harrat Uairedh, and the ancient sites of Dadan and Jabal Ikmah, including the Lion Tombs. The tour also includes a visit to Al Ula’s Old Town, a cultural immersion experience with a local family, and a visit to the iconic Elephant Rock before concluding with a transfer to Al Ula airport for departure.

Itinerary

Day 01 - Arrival

Jeddah

Upon arrival airport on  @          you will clear immigration and customs then meet our representative just outside the terminal look for your name on a sign”, then you be will transfer to your hotel, where you will check in and overnight.

Day 02

Jeddah

This morning, start with Tayebat Museum, this privately owned four-floor collection has displays ranging from pre-Islamic artefacts, exquisite Islamic manuscripts, old coins and weaponry to stunning furniture, pottery and traditional Saudi dress. Then enjoy Jeddah Open Museum which is one of the largest collections of models, set in a very picturesque area on the new corniche and full of picnic options. Also, you will see Floating Mosque which appears to drift on the water’s surface shimmering in the sun light. Pause to take in the spectacular views over the Red Sea. Next, discover King Fahd’s Fountain, also known as Jeddah Fountain, which is the tallest of its type in the world, shooting saltwater from the Red Sea 300 metres up into the air, at speeds over 300 kilometres per hour.Then you will be led to Jeddah’s traditional architecture in Al-Balad “Old Town” to visit some of the old Ottoman houses, constructed from coral and reinforced with wooden beams, including Nasif House, one of the most beautiful which was built in the 1850’s by the Nasif Family, one of the most influential trading families in the history of Jeddah. Return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 03

Al Ula

Morning pickup from your hotel to Jeddah train station, to board the High-Speed seating train to Madinah “around 2 hrs”. Arrive Madinah train station, where you will be met by your private guide who will escort you for a day tour to visit: International Fair and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization, Qiba Street which connect two Mosques, the Holy Mosque and Qiba Mosque including Souq Taiba. Lunch including during the tour at a restaurant overlooking Prophet Mohamed Mosque. Access to the Mosques is not allowed for Non-Muslims but they can see it from outside, finally transfer to AlUla from Medinah “around 05 hur”, arrival at AlUla and overnight.

Day 04

Al Ula

Breakfast at the hotel, take the opportunity to explore the awe-inspiring wonders of Madain Saleh, which has been recognized as a World Heritage site. This ancient city was once known as “Al Hegra” and served as an important stop along a highly lucrative trade route during ancient times. Madain Saleh is spread across an expansive area of 2000 square meters and is filled with numerous remnants and tombs that have been carved into rocks. As you explore, be sure not to miss out on visiting significant sites such as the Nabatean Well, Qasr Al Bint, Diwan Tomb, Al Farid Palace, and even the well-preserved railway station. During your tour of Madain Saleh, take some time to enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the local restaurants. If time allows, consider making your way toward Harrat Uairedh. Located at one of the highest points in town; this place offers breathtaking panoramic views of its surrounding landscapes. Sit back and relax while enjoying a cup of authentic Arabic coffee or tea accompanied by some delicious dates as you witness a serene sunset from this remarkable vantage point. Afterward returning from Harrat Uairedh’s scenic viewpoint excursion back to AlUla where you will spend two nights at your hotel for restful overnight accommodations.

Day 05

Al Ula

After breakfast, embark on an adventure to discover the marvels of the World Heritage sites of Dadan and Jabal Ikmah. Jabal Ikmah, often likened to an expansive open-air library, boasts the highest concentration and most diverse collection of inscriptions found in AlUla. Meanwhile, Dadan served as the capital for both the Dadan & Lihyan kingdoms. This city constructed from stone holds a rich history that spans from the 9th century BCE to the 8th century BCE. Admire over ten tombs meticulously carved into crimson-red cliffs, with one particularly renowned burial ground known as Lion Tombs. These impressive lion sculptures signify resting places for esteemed members of society. After immersing yourself in mountainous wonders, journey to Old Town where you can delve into Al-Ula’s captivating history while leisurely strolling through its lush oasis and local farms. Take this opportunity to meet a welcoming local family who will graciously share tea with you—an experience that promises cultural immersion at its finest, once rejuvenated by this heartfelt encounter, continue your adventure toward the iconic Elephant Rock, an awe-inspiring natural formation that truly captures the imagination. Return to your hotel.

Day 06

Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Al Ula airport for a flight back home with everlasting memories of Saudi Arabia departure on….. @……. – (B)
