Flavors of Istanbul, Cappadocia & Ephesus

This seven-day tour of Turkey begins with an arrival in Istanbul and an overnight stay. The following day involves exploring Istanbul’s Old City, including Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, Ottoman imperial cemetery, Corlulu Ali Pasa Medrese, and the Grand Bazaar, followed by an evening flight to Cappadocia. Days three and four are spent in Cappadocia, immersing in its natural beauty and cultural heritage by visiting Goreme’s cave churches, walking through Avcilar, Pasabagi, and the Red Valley, with a photo stop at Uchisar, before an early morning flight to Kusadasi. Day five features an exploration of the ancient city of Ephesus, including the theatre and Celsus Library, a visit to the House of the Virgin Mary, and a photo opportunity near the remains of the Temple of Artemis. Day six includes a flight from Izmir to Istanbul, a Bosphorus boat trip with a fish lunch, and visits to Saint Sophia and Taksim Square, followed by a walk along Istiklal Street. The tour concludes on day seven with breakfast and a transfer to Istanbul Airport for departure.

Day 01 - Arrival

Istanbul

Upon arrival at Istanbul airport, transfer to your hotel for overnight in Istanbul.

Day 02

Cappadocia

In the morning you’ll tour the old city: Topkapi Palace, the largest and oldest of the remaining palaces where Ottoman Sultans used to live; admire the gardens, kitchens, the Treasury Section and terraces overlooking the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn. Discover the Blue Mosque covered by more than 20.000 Iznik tiles and after lunch, continue with the imperial cemetery of ottoman sultans. Stop at Corlulu Ali Pasa Medrese displaying the peaceful atmosphere of the past, still attracting the waterpipe fans today. Last, shop in the labyrinth tunnels of the Grand Bazaar.

Transfer to Istanbul Airport and evening flight to Kayseri. Transfer to your hotel in Cappadocia for check in and overnight.

Day 03

Cappadocia

Entire day to enjoy the natural beauty and the cultural depth of this unique region: explore the frescoed interiors of Goreme’s cave churches, which date from the 8th century, take a walk in Avcilar, Pasabagi and the red valley of Dervent where you will admire the chimney like volcanic formations and a brief photo stop at Uchisar.

Day 04

Kusadasi

This morning will be an early start to meet your morning flight from Kayseri to Kusadasi. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Kusadasi.

Day 05

Kusadasi

Proceed to Ephesus to explore the antique city by wandering along its 2,000-year-old marble streets to such famous sites as the theatre and the Celsus Library. In the afternoon, visit the home of the Virgin Mary and a photo stop nearby the Temple of Artemis where only a column remains to indicate where one of the Seven Wonders of the World was.

Day 06

Istanbul

Proceed to Izmir Airport and fly to Istanbul. Upon arrival enjoy a langourous boat trip along the European and Asian coasts of the Bosphorus. Lunch in a fish restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Saint Sophia, one of the marvels of Byzantine architecture and discover Taksim, the largest square of the city and walk along the pedestrian Istiklal Street to really see and live Istanbul’s daily life. Overnight.

Day 07

Departure

After Breakfast, transfer to the Airport to fly back home with everlasting memories of Land of Turkey departure on…. @….. – (B)
